Greetings! Welcome to our July
e-newsletter. The so-called lazy days of summer are in
full swing, but here at ACDC, staff members and their
respective interns (all 9 of them!) are hard at work.
Here are some of the highlights of what we’ve been
working on and what we’ve got planned for the next few
months.
Please take a moment and help inform your friends and
family of our news, too- and help spread the word about
our accomplishments and upcoming events.
Thank you for your continued support.

ACDC Honors Community Leader
Offices named for long-time ACDC leader, Neil
Chin
By unanimous vote, ACDC’s board agreed to name our
new offices after one of the organization’s
founders and long-time board member, Neil Chin. A
plaque was presented to Mr. Chin at ACDC’s Open
House on June 5th. Surprised by the honor, Neil
delivered a touching speech in which he encouraged
young people to take up the mantle of activism and
improve the communities in which they live. To
read Neil’s speech click
here.
Over 50 people attended the event during which
ACDC also awarded certificates of recognition to
70 of our volunteers. We had a great time and we
hope it provided a good opportunity for everyone
to meet and get to know the staff, board, and
dedicated volunteers who drive ACDC’s successes.

ACDC or to register to become a member, please

Chinatown Youth Project
PSA Project
The Chinatown Youth Radio Project (CYRP) invites
community organizations or programs that serve
Asian Americans to collaborate with us on our
summer "PSA Project". CYRP would like to work with
other community groups to create 15-60 second
public service announcements (PSAs) that inform
the public about community events or concerns.
PSAs are appropriate for announcing community
programs or targeted social messages. If your
organization is interested in creating a PSA for
air-play on our radio show, please contact Amy
Cheung at 617-482-2380 ext. 206 or amy@asiancdc.org.
Listen in weekly: For the summer of 2006, the
