Greetings!
 Seeking Former Hudson Street Residents
Do you know of any former residents of Hudson Street?

"Restoring a Neighborhood: Rebuilding a Community" is the theme of our Annual Meeting this year. We are looking to reunite members of this dispersed Hudson Street community who were displaced from their homes by urban renewal in the 1960's. As we look forward to rebuilding physical buildings on Parcel 24, we also seek to reconnect these community members to the ongoing work of rebuilding their former neighborhood.

If you have any information regarding folks who lived on Hudson Street prior to 1963, please contact sophea.khe m@asiancdc.org

Click here for a list of former Hudson Streeters we have identified, or for more info on how you can help us reunite this dispersed community.

 Asian CDC Annual Meeting
"Restoring a Neighborhood, Rebuilding Community" Hudson Street, Chinatown, and Beyond

Please join us this year as we celebrate the hard work of our volunteers, staff, and board and welcome new leadership. This year we will reunite former residents of Hudson Street who were displaced by urban renewal in the 1960’s and celebrate as we restore a vibrant community on Parcel 24, where they once lived, worked, and played.

Come bring your memories and share your stories as our A-VOYCE youth record oral histories and scan old Chinatown photos for the ACDC archive.

A buffet dinner will be served.

 Get out the Vote!

A strong voter turn out is essential for every community looking to be heard by local, state, and national lawmakers. That’s why it is crucial for immigrant citizens and Asian-Americans to make a strong showing at the polls on November 7th for this year’s state elections.

Here are some resources to learn more about where and how to vote, as well as learning more about the candidates and how they stand on issues that affect you and your neighbors.

 Chinatown Business Pushed Out
Boston Costume Shuts Its Doors Due to Escalating Rents

Long time Boston institution, Boston Costume, will shut its doors soon due to escalating costs of rent. The store has been operating at its Kneeland Street location for 20 years, and has seen its rents escalate by 400% in that time. Those looking to support the owners during the store's last days, while getting next years’ Halloween, Christmas, St. Patrick’s Day, Election Day, Turkey Day costumes... or just stock up on rubber chickens, are invited to turn out for the store’s clearance sale, on now until November 4th. Doors are scheduled to close on Dec. 31, 2006.
