Parcel 24 Update
Project nearing major
milestone & needs your support on Oct 4!
 Reknitting
the Hudson Street Community: View of Townhouses down Hudson
Street from Kneeland Street
The Parcel 24 development team is expecting a Development
Agreement with the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority (MTA) in
early September! The finalized agreement is currently under
review by the Metropolitan Highway System Advisory Board. Once
the agreement is executed, we can perform on-site
investigations and further our work towards the community's
goals. of now, the project remains largely the same as the
proposal we originally submitted. To read more about our
plans for Parcel 24, please click
here.
The team hosted two community meetings in
mid-August to inform community members of the status of the
project, and to re-engage the community in preparation for
further design work. There will be many future opportunities
to be part of Parcel 24. Your next opportunity to get involved
is:
Parcel 24 Permitting: Filing the PNF - Our
Next Big Step
Thursday, October 4th at 6:00pm
Metropolitan Community Room at 38 Oak Street
The meeting will cover what to expect in the
next six months as we start the permitting process. In
addition, we plan on filing a Project Notification Form (PNF)
to the Boston Redevelopment Authority (BRA) by mid October and
want the community's input on the developing plans of Parcel
24 before submission. This dialectic meeting, coupled with
future knowledge-building workshops on affordable housing
finance, is being offered so community members like you can
play an informed and engaged role in actively shaping Parcel
24 into a vibrant part of the Chinatown neighborhood. In
response to community feedback, we will also offer regular
updates via meetings, a weblog, and this e-newsletter.
Please pass this information onto others who
may be interested.
If you have any or comments on Parcel 24,
please email
parcel24@asiancdc.org or our community organizer Alex
Zhang at 617-482-2380 x 208.
