A Chinatown Banquet is an innovative public art project based in the front window of the United Commercial Bank in the heart of Chinatown. It began in 2001, as an artistic representation of the Chinatown Master Plan, bringing together the voices of over 70 Chinatown community members. (Click here for more.) The Chinatown Walking Tour Collective is a collaboration between different groups in Chinatown offering guided tours of the neighborhood. Working with youth, recent immigrants, and other community members and agencies, the Walking Tour Collective helps the people of Chinatown interact with their neighborhood in new ways. The Chinatown Heritage Trail is a new way to navigate Chinatown by foot, connecting various sites that highlight the history and future of Asian immigrants in Chinatown, Boston, and New England. The Chinatown Youth Radio Project is a program that introduces high school aged youth to community radio as a means of engaging the community, promoting positive change, and developing an independent and creative voice in the media.
