Looking for a Job? Need help finding employees?

ACDC's economic development program activities focus on small Asian American businesses and Asian American start-up businesses. ACDC accomplishes this through advocacy, networking, job referrals, technical assistance, and loan origination services. ACDC is a member of the Community Business Network (CBN), a collaboration of 10 local CDCs that support the creation and growth of small businesses in Boston's neighborhoods. CBN provides a comprehensive set of business development services, including access to financing. As part of its workforce development activity, ACDC, in partnership with the Chinatown Coalition, organizes an annual job and job training fair that was attended in its seventh year by over 250 prospective employees and over 40 different employers from a range of industries looking to recruit for positions at all levels.

In addition to small business assistance and workforce development, ACDC's economic development program has a number of innovative, funded projects that involve private-sector and academic institution partners.

If you are looking for a job, internship, or volunteer opportunity, please see our opportunities page to find out more about the many positions available at ACDC.

Community Job & Job Training Fair
The Asian Community Development Corporation, in partnership with The Chinatown Coalition, annually produces a job and job training fair for the Chinatown community.

Bringing together hundreds of prospective employers, community residents, students from area universities, community agencies, and Asians from all over greater Boston, the job fair is a truly community galvanizing event. Every year, representatives from a range of industries, including health care, financial services, government, insurance, academcis and arts attend the job fair to recruit new employees at all levels. In the past, we have also offered resume-writing and interviewing workshops especially designed for prospective employees who are learning English as a Second Language.

The event is held at the State Transportation Building in Boston, which is located between Chinatown and the Theater District. Our most recent job fair, which marked its eighth year in 2000, had over 250 prospective employees and over 35 different employers attend. If you would like more information about the job fair or would like to have your company or organization represented at the next fair, please contact Giles Li at 482-2380 x 207.
