Date: Thursday to Sunday, August 26 to 29, 2010.

The program begins at 7:00pm with a main feature at 8:00pm.

There will be pre-performances before the the main feature.

Films will have English subtitles or summaries will be provided.  

Location: Chinatown Gate

Films will be shown on the vacant paved lot on Hudson Street between Beach and Kneeland Streets, just south of the historic Chinatown Gate. Folding chairs will be available on a first-come, first serve basis. Please feel free to bring your own seating and Chinese takeout.

Films at the Gate is a collaborative project of several Chinatown residents, businesses and ACDC.

The project seeks to:

• improve awareness of Boston's Chinatown as a site of cultural activity
• restore a tradition of shared, public experience of Chinese-language films in Chinatown
• provide temporary community use of Chinatown's underutilized spaces draw foot-traffic to neighborhood restaurants and
• make downtown Boston a destination beyond the working hours

Proceeds from Films at the Gate benefit ACDC and our youth development program, Asian Voices of Organized Youth for Community Empowerment (A-VOYCE). [4]
